The Mueller POA Landscape Committee and Mueller Neighborhood Association are co-hosting Mueller's first Austin It's My Park Day event 9 am – 11 am on Saturday, Nov. 2. Activities include trash pick-up, ragweed removal, tree care demonstration, Master Naturalist-led walks highlighting birds and plants in Mueller's perimeter parks, and a prairie seed ball workshop. Registration is limited to 40 participants. To participate, you must register and sign the liability waiver online by October 31.
What to Bring
- Your own water bottle.
- Work gloves if you plan to pick up trash or remove ragweed.
- Wear close-toed, comfortable walking shoes.
- Long sleeves and pants are recommended but not required.
- Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses if the day is sunny.
What to Expect
- Please arrive at 8:45 am to sign in and choose your activities. Parking is limited, so walk or ride a bike if possible.
- Activities will last about an hour and will be offered at 9 am and 10 am. Participants can choose up to two activities on a space-available basis.
- T-shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your size runs out, we’ll attempt to get one in your size after the event.
Austin Parks Foundation Rain Policy
- If it rains Saturday morning, the project will begin up to one hour late.
- If heavy rains persist, the project will start at 9 am Sunday.
- If the weekend is rained out, the project will be rescheduled.
