MNA Committees

MNA’s bylaws create 10 standing committees and one special committee in addition to the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee appoints committee chairs and helps recruit members. The bylaws specify each committee’s membership and duties. The Steering Committee may appoint other special committees as needed for specific topics.

Join an MNA Committee

Help plan, lead and support MNA events, activities, initiatives and operations by joining one of MNA's standing committees. Interested? Email MNA with your name, contact information and areas of interest.

Audit
Reviews the annual budget, fiscal condition, recordkeeping, and IRS and State of Texas filings and records maintenance.

Block Captain Network
Recruits and trains block captains to encourage neighbor interactions, promotes block events and activities, and manages mini-grant applications for MNA member-led neighborhood activities.

Bylaws
Meets at least once every five years to review MNA bylaws and recommend updates to the Steering Committee and MNA members.

Communications/Newsletter
Coordinates MNA marketing and communications, including technology, archival records, website, social media, printed materials and newsletters.

Engagement and Inclusion
Reviews and improves MNA’s interactions with Mueller and Austin communities and institutions.

Events
Coordinates and supports Mueller events such as Eid Celebration, Fourth of July Parade and Festival, and community-wide yard sales. 

Membership
Promotes membership and attendance at MNA meetings, maintains accurate and up-to-date membership records, manages membership application and renewal processes, and notifies members of annual renewal deadlines. 

Nominations
Recruits steering committee candidates and manages the election process.

Sponsorships
Leads annual fundraising campaigns to support MNA, coordinates fundraising activities with event organizers, works with the Communications Committee to recognize sponsors, and invites sponsors to MNA events and meetings.

Transportation and Urban Planning
Reviews issues and concerns regarding building, transportation, and land matters in Mueller and surrounding areas.
