The Mueller Neighborhood Association (MNA) will continue to review recommendations for COVID-19 Prevention and Safety. We will rely on Austin Public Health, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and other public health organizations as we continue to learn best practices and prevention methods.
Recommendations will be based on the current City of Austin COVID-19 Stage (see Risk based guidelines https://www.austintexas.gov/page/covid-19-dashboards) and CDC risk-based guidelines.
Based on guidance from the City of Austin, we believe that there is low risk of transmission during Stages 1-3. During these stages, we will proceed with neighborhood meetings (MNA Steering Committee and MNA General Membership), and events in-person with COVID-19 protocols. These protocols could include but are not limited to the following: reviewing proof of negative test within 72 hours of the meeting or event, masking, and proof of vaccinations. We will continue to have a Zoom option for neighborhood meetings throughout the rest of 2022, even for in-person meetings.
If we reach Stage 4 or 5, we will proceed with neighborhood meetings (MNA Steering Committee and MNA General Membership) via Zoom. Events will be planned virtually or postponed until there is a low transmission rate.
Please note that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. We recommend that when participating in activities, the individual community members take into consideration their risk based on the current definition of high risk and follow the risk-based guidelines. We ask that each of us do what we need in order to keep our community safe and low transmission of COVID-19.
By attending Mueller Neighborhood Association meetings and activities you voluntarily accept all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Let’s work together to keep our neighbors safe and healthy.
FINALIZED AND ADOPTED BY THE STEERING COMMITTEE ON WEDNESDAY MARCH 2nd, 2022.
