Austin-Travis County extended + modified the #StayHomeWorkSafe orders through May 8. It includes new measures to keep Austinites healthy, safe and “flattening the curve.”
👉 Everyone over the age of 10 must wear face coverings during essential work or activities in public.
The requirement is for use of fabric face covering—medical-grade masks + respirators should be conserved for healthcare workers and first responders. Scarves or bandanas are household items that can serve as a face cover.
Face covering does not substitute the need for physical distancing. Remember to continue keeping at least 6 feet of distance between you and those outside of your household.
